There’s only one place in town you can get a “Rum, Forrest, Rum”, or a “The Last of the Mojitos”. Sound strangely familiar? That’s because these drinks are named after famous works of literature. You can even try a “Tequila Mockingbird” or a “Are You There God? It’s Me Margarita”. I could go on and on.
So you may be asking – where can I get these cocktails with a literary twist? Check our The Book Cellar. It’s Page and Palette’s newest addition. It’s a bar, without the “bar” atmosphere. Drop by anytime in your workout clothes or shorts and t-shirt and enjoy a glass of wine with a good book. There’s even something for the kids. They can try their version of a Shirley Temple called a “Fancy Nancy” or for the boys it’s a “Pete the Cat”.
The Book Cellar prides themselves in carrying wines you can’t get anywhere else in town. AND their wines are always changing, so there’s always something new. As the bar evolves, they hope to start serving small plates featuring local chef specialties.
The Book Cellar has only been open a few months, so few people know about it. I’m a little biased because I LOVE Page and Palette! So now that I can go grab a drink and walk through this wonderful historic bookstore, I’m thrilled! The hours for the bookstore, the coffee shop, and the bar are listed below. Open 7 days a week for your convenience and enjoyment.
Bookstore Mon-Fri: 8a-6p | Sat: 9a-6p | Sun: 11p-5p
Latte Da Coffee Shop Mon-Fri: 6:30a-6p | Sat: 7a-6p | Sun: 10a-5p
Book Cellar Mon-Wed until 8pm | Thurs- Sat: until 9pm | Sun: until 6pm
